EASTER . . .
We celebrated Easter by going to Our Lady of Consolation's Easter egg hunt. The kids could exchange the eggs with pictures of Jesus in for a prize. Jack came home with some sidewalk chalk. We also colored Easter eggs.
On the night before Easter, we left carrots and the baskets out for the Easter bunny. On Easter morning, the Easter bunny left surprises in Jack and Alex's rooms. Jack opened up Thomas flashcards - on the gift was a picture of where to go for the next surprise. Jack had to go to Alex's laundry basket for the next surprise - 101 Dalmations. That present led him to a picture of Alex's crib, where he found a Space Shuttle (aka Shovel) kite. The kite then led him to a chair, where he found his Easter basket with Thomas pajamas and lots of candy.
Alex received lots of soft books. The present in his room - led us to Jack's stool, where we found another book. That book led us to the couch, where we found Alex's Easter basket. Alex had a cute outfit in his basket.
Austin, of course, had found his basket immediately after he woke up - he is a menace when it comes to holidays. He loves the hunt.
After Easter mass, we had our annual Easter picture. Uncle Matt and his friend Kris, came over for Easter dinner and another Easter egg hunt. Jack and Austin both hunted for eggs in the play room. Jack had a sugar high for most of the day.
