Trip to the Purdue v. Notre Dame Game

This past weekend, all of us traveled down to South Bend, IN for the Notre Dame v. Purdue game. We drove down on Friday night and stayed at the KOA (Camping site) in Granger, Indiana. We met up with Nana, Papa, Uncle David, Aunt Julie, Uncle Lonnie, Andy, Joe, Brian, Frank, Julie, Frankie, Val, and Lil' David. The Sedlers brought their RV while everyone else stayed in the KOA cabins. The cabins were actually pretty nice despite not having bathrooms (communal showers and bathrooms, anyone?) Although not equipped with restrooms, they did have flat screen TVs (nice to see they have their priorities in order.) Friday night was spent hanging out around the campfire and eating a feast at the Sedler's camper.
The next morning, everyone was up at the crack of dawn in preparation for the ND game. We had a breakfast of donuts and omelette's (Jack had about 12 chocolate donuts). Jack, Lil David, and Frankie checked out the campsite goats and playground. The playground may have been Jack's favorite.Frankie has been appointed as the official babysitter for Alex. While Anne and I may have occasionally lost track of our youngest son, Lil' Frankie was always on the job. After breakfast, we headed to the game at about 11:30 A.M. Once on campus, Anne, Alex, Jack, and I took some time to walk around campus. Then we all met up for the band step off towards the stadium. We also met up with Aunt Joyce and cousin David who drove up from Cincinnati that morning. Half of the group went to the game while the half of us (the half with little kids) watched it in the J.A.C.C. (basketball arena). Prior to heading to the J.A.C.C., Brian gave us a tour of his dorm room. Jack especially liked Brian's lofted bed. At half time, the half with kids went back out to White Field and tailgated while listening to the game on the radio.
We noticed on Saturday morning that Jack's eye was very puffy. He told us that he ran into a tree. It is possible . . . .
It was a great weekend. Jack is already asking us when we can go camping with our friends again and if our friends can go on the boat at Christmas with us.

How cute!! I want to go. Why are all of your kids so darn cute? You guys aren't! :) You know I'm kidding. We miss you all so much. I can't wait to see Jack and Alex. Alex looks so completely different.
