Thanksgiving and Alex's First Birthday!

We headed to Cincinnati for Thanksgiving this year. Alex was perplexed when he got into his car seat and it was facing forward. We no longer have to ask Jack if Alex is awake or sleeping. Alex did well on the way down to Cincinnati but the way back was another story. It is amazing to think he is now one year old. It has been a wonderful year. Alex is such a blessing. We love to see him grow and to see his relationship with Jack blossom. It usually involves Jack wanting to give him a kiss, Alex screaming and Austin intervening. Brothers.

On Friday, we went to downtown Cincinnati to see the lighting of the Christmas tree on Fountain square. We came really close to Nick Lahey. The fireworks were awesome. Alex and Jack both enjoyed them. Jack would not give up the stroller for Alex so Alex spent most of the night on Daddy's shoulder. Jack has promised to give up the stroller when he is 4 years old.

On Saturday night, we took the kids to see the lights at the Cincinnati Zoo with the Bartish family. It was a hit! Jack especially liked the nativity scene. The kids enjoyed storytime with Mrs. Klaus. However, Alex was not too sure of Mrs. Klaus. You can almost read his mind. Who is holding onto me?
