The Bounce Party. We continued the tradition of having a birthday party with friends but could not exclude Alex. Because their birthdays are so close together, we had a joint party at Bounce Party. To Mommy's dismay, Mike mentioned to Jack about having a Bolt cake for the party. Unfortunately, there is no cake pan for Bolt. Mommy then began the task of constructing a Bolt cake. After 5 boxes of cake mix and 6 hours of decorating, a dog was created. Yes, Mommy went to bed at 4:00 am, but Bolt was born. Jack's only comment that morning was that he needed a red collar, not a blue collar. Apparently, the fake Bolt had a blue collar. Bolt did not look too bad until after the car ride. We received a bunch of snow that day and the roads were bumpy and icy and well, Bolt's head came off during the car ride. The boys loved it though. They thought it was so cool to have a headless dog. Luckily, Mommy brought extra icing to repair poor Bolt.

The kids (and adults) had so much fun at the Bounce Party. The slide and mazes were the biggest hits. Alex loved the drinking fountain. We were happy Grandma and Papa could come to help watch Alex and organize the party. After playing on the inflatables, the kids had pizza and lots of cake. Alex was asleep within minutes but Mommy's car load of Jack's friends had a great time on the way - it was a little quicker than the hour and 1/2 ride there.
