Trouble with the Christmas Tree
When we came home, we realized that we bought way too big of a Christmas tree. The ceiling is nine feet tall and so was our Christmas tree (without the star). Daddy, however, took it upon himself to cut the top off of the Christmas tree without Mommy's input. That ended the decision to put up the Christmas tree for that day. Jack informed Mommy that Santa was not going to bring her presents because she was frustrated with Daddy. Luckily, Mommy calmed down and the tree was put up the following day. Jack placed the first ornament on the Christmas tree - a truck that he had made at the GRCC Lab Preschool at their Christmas breakfast.
Mommy and Jack made Gingerbread Men after reading the story. Jack was a great help putting all of the toppings on the cookies. He liked the cookies that had one of everything - gumdrops, red hots, marshmallows and raisins. Of course, he also liked the frosting. This was the first year that Jack spent more time decorating the cookies rather than eating them.
