Santa made it!

When Jack woke up, we had to remind him that Santa came last night. He passed by the few presents under his Christmas tree. Jack and Alex both received a few of the "Cars" from the movie under their tree. Of course, Alex now wants Jack's Chick Hicks' car and wants nothing to do with the cars that he received. After opening those presents, we headed downstairs to find . . .magical footprints left by Santa. Austin was pacing back and forth at this point. By the time we got to the Christmas tree, Austin had already pulled one of his presents from the tree. That dog has no patience.

We then opened our stockings. Jack was thoroughly amused by the underwear that he received in his stocking. After stockings, we had hot chocolate and pecan rolls (which Mommy slaved over the night before - by making the bread from scratch). After the kids were fed, we headed back to open some more presents. Alex, however, was more interested in looking at the snow rapidly coming down outside. He spent alot of time looking out the window.

Jack wanted to open everyone's present so it took a long time to open our presents and when he received a book, Jack had to read it before opening the next present. He loved it. Jack's favorite present was the boulder mountain train set.

Besides looking out the window, Alex loved to take Austin's bone. He put the bone up to his ear like a phone. Everything is a phone these days to Alex - remotes, socks, cars, you name it. He also loves to give everything a taste test. Unfortunately, the elephant did not pass. He was moving onto something else pretty quickly. The orange lasted for a little while.
