New Years Eve

We had a blast on New Years Eve. Jack was invited to a pirate party and came back with an eye patch. That sealed the deal for face painting. Jack had to get his face painted every day. They gave out fun hats and noise makers at dinner. We then watched all the balloons come down at midnight and went straight to bed.

After the pirate face painting, Jack went back for more face painting. Alex even got a little fish on his cheek.

Mommy and Daddy participated in the Amazing Race on the ship. While we were the first team to finish, we came in fourth place because we missed a couple of the mental challenges, such as how many tons of water do they use for the ice rink? Mommy cleared the rock climbing wall in 1 minute, 43 seconds. To improve her record, she climbed again later in the week and shaved 20 seconds from her time. Uncle Lonny volunteered to ride the waverider and stayed on for an impressive .16 seconds. Alex clapped for us eventually. We won a key chain.

I took Jack for his first time ice skating on the ship. He did not want to do it at all but said it was fun during our one lap around the skating rink. We will have to try that again.

Jack and Alex are the twentieth and twenty-first members of the family.
