DAY ONE - BREAKFAST AT CINDERELLA'S ROYAL TABLE

Hooray!!!! Day One is finally here. Day One of our 5 day Walt Disney Park marathon began with breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table. For those of you unfamiliar with it - Cinderella's Royal Table is a meal that actually takes place in Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom. It is a character breakfast - so Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, and Sleeping Beauty are all present to interact with you while you eat breakfast. Getting a reservation at Cinderella's Table is suppose to be very difficult. It is often sold out the day you can first make reservations (180 days prior to your meal date.) We lucked out when Anne somehow got reservations in February after another party canceled. We bought Jack and Alex each a prince costume to wear to the breakfast.

One of the coolest things about having a breakfast reservation at the Magic Kingdom is that you get to enter the Magic Kingdom before it officially opens so that you can make your reservation. Of course none of the rides our open, but it is really neat to be in the Magic Kingdom when it is almost completely empty. Both Jack and Alex loved running around and through the castle while no one was there. We took a lot of great pictures of Jack and Alex in front of Cinderella's castle prior to our breakfast.

After about a half hour of just running around the Magic Kingdom, it was time for our breakfast. We entered the castle and were immediately greeted by Cinderella. After pausing for a picture with Cinderella and getting her autograph, it was time to head up to the dining room. Once we arrived at the dining room, we were announced as a royal family and both Jack and Alex were given royal swords. (Alex was so hungry he attempted to eat his sword.) When we got to our table, Jack and Alex found a wishing star next to each of their plates. They were quickly instructed to wave their sword over the star and make a wish. Jack never did tell us what he wished for. The food came pretty quickly and it was delicious.

While we were eating, each of the princesses visited our table. Snow White came first. Jack asked her where the dwarves were and she said they were still sleeping. Snow White and Sleeping Beauty are Jack's favorite princesses. We always buy an ornament before we leave a vacation spot and this year we had to buy a Snow White ornament.

Jasmine arrived after Snow White and commented on how handsome both Jack and Alex looked in their costumes. Jack made sure that he introduced his "baby" brother Alex to Jasmine (he did this for each princess). Jasmine gave Jack and Alex a kiss on the cheek. It was definitely a highlight of the breakfast for Jack.

Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) arrived after Jasmine. Jack seemed to really like her and asked her all sorts of questions about the Dragon. Aurora bent down and told Jack she had to tell him a secret. When Jack turned his head so that Aurora could whisper in his ear, Aurora surprised him with a wet kiss right on the cheek that left lip marks. I think Jack liked that best of all. Mike immediately asked Aurora to tell him a secret, but sadly only got his picture taken with her.

Belle came last. Jack immediately asked her where was the Beast? Sadly, the breakfast came to an end and we left to meet up with rest of the family and tour the Magic Kingdom. It was the perfect start of the day.
