The Night Before Christmas . . . Mommy and Daddy stayed up until 4:00 am.  The kids had waited long enough.  It was January 2nd - come on!!!  Jack had asked Santa for a Spark's Scooter, Alex wanted Drums and Trains and Samantha appartently wanted a shirt.  We left Grandma and Papa's house after the Spartans suffered a disappointing loss in the bowl game.  At home, we gathered the cookies and carrots for the reindeer.  Jack was worried that Santa would not have enough cookies.  Daddy read the Polar Express to Samantha and Jack.  Alex was not in the mood to sit for a story.  After the Polar Express, Daddy read the Night Before Christmas and then we tucked the kids into bed.  Samantha stayed up a little bit longer to eat the ornaments and to scream about her new lower digs.  She did not like the bigger prison walls, especially since she had not figured out how to get down!  Eventually, the kids were tucked into bed and fast asleep.
