We always have hot chocolate and rolls after the stockings to make Christmas last a little longer. The kids peeked at the gifts and saw the amazing drum set. Austin was ready to open the presents under the tree too. Alex immediately started to hide his gum in the advent calendar house. We are still finding the gum in the advent house. Throughout Christmas, Alex enjoyed finding the candy in the house and just playing games with the house. He would hide several things in the house or Jack would and they would make a game out of it.
Around this time, Samantha began to stir. She has Mike's crazy morning hair. We had our hot chocolate and rolls and started in again! Jack was excited to get his sparks scooter. Alex enjoyed the dinosaurs. They both liked the tail spin bike - I think it will be a hit this summer. The bike did go a few rounds around the house before it headed to the garage. Samantha loved crawling around in the mess of wrapping paper.
Samantha enjoyed her new high chair toy. It helps to keep her occupied while we are getting things ready. The big hit was the drum set . . . with Daddy. Every once in awhile I will hear a few drum sounds from the basement when the kids are in bed. Jack is learning some notes in Kindermusik - I think he will be able to pick up the drums eventually.
The balloon toy was also a big hit. You blow up the balloon and send it flying. Of course, it was probably the cheapest gift. I like the last picture of Austin - beat over Christmas and laying on Samantha's new outfits.
